The presentation will feature " The History of the Gerow Family" by Jane Simpson
Three sons of the family were forced to choose their allegiance to the English or to a seductive new republicanism.
Members of the Alyea, Bogart, Bonter, Cole, Lent, Huff, Parliament, Peck, Roblin, Van Cott, Way, Wannamaker and Westerfeld families, in addition to the Gerow family, may wish to attend as their ancestors experienced the same fate during the revolution.

Grace Lewis, our Branch Librarian, will bring you up to date on what has been happening with our Branch Library, located in the City of Ottawa Archives Research Room. If you are new to family history research or need a refresher, come out and join us! Sessions are free and open to all. You are invited to bring a “brown bag” lunch to eat while we hold a presentation or a Research Workshop. Coffee and tea will be available throughout the sessions. Our normal monthly presentation social time will start at 13:00 along with the regular cookies.

Networking and refreshments and then the presentation starts at 13:30 Speaker: Gloria Tubman Ancestors Intersecting History will demonstrate the involvement of one individual’s ancestors in various historic events from about 1690 to 1912. The presentation offers a different approach to relating one’s family history using a time line. All Ottawa Branch monthly presentations are open to the public at no charge. Join us at the monthly meeting of the Kingston Branch of Ontario Ancestors for a presentation by Peter Gower.

Peter Gower will be speaking on "Researching Military Records for Those Who Served from the Kingston Area"
The meeting starts with a short topic at 9:30, and then there will be a very short business meeting at 10am, and then the presentation.

Kingston & District Branch of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada

Meets at St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall, 137 Queen Street, Kingston at 1:00 pm. Brief AGM, followed by Speaker Nathan Tidridge, first (2018) Honorary Fellow of the national UELAC organization. Nathan, a high school history teacher in Waterdown, Ontario, has authored several books and won numerous awards. His topic will be “Exploring Kinship Through Her Majesty's Chapels Royal" — these include Christ Church, Her Majesty's Chapel Royal of the Mohawk near Deseronto. All welcome.
