September 14 - Aberdeen, SD

The Aberdeen Area Genealogical Society will present the You and Your DNA seminar on Sept. 14.

It is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library, 215 Fourth Ave. S.E. The cost is $15 and includes lunch for those who register by September 2. Checks should be made out to AAGS and can be sent to: P.O. Box 493; Aberdeen, S.D. 57401.

The full schedule and presenters follow:

9 to 10 a.m.: Registration with coffee and muffins.
10 a.m.: Yvonne Haefner presents “Finding Cousins with DNA.”
11 a.m.: Margie Rosario with the South Dakota Daughters of the American Revolution presents "DNA and Genealogy: A Beginners Guide."
Noon: Lunch.
1 p.m.: Presentation by Austin Huber, a licensed genetic counselor from Avera Health.
3 pm.: Virginia Hansen with the South Dakota Genealogical Society presents ”The Human Side of Genealogy.”
