Middle Tennessee Genealogical Society's bi-monthly meeting

Tennessee State Library and Archives - 403 7th Ave N., Nashville TN 37243

"Ancestors, Antiques, and Artifacts"

At our annual show-and-tell meeting, “Ancestors, Antiques, and Artifacts,” attendees bring family artifacts or stories to share with the group. Everyone who has an interest in all things genealogy-related is welcome, whether a member or not. Come and see how some of our members became interested in genealogy. Share your own history by bringing photos, artifacts, or heirlooms from your ancestors. We enjoy seeing photographs, clothing, jewelry, family history books or other books that talk about your family tree. This is an exciting get-together because we never know what items will be presented. Don’t be shy! Bring something to share or just come to see what others are sharing.

And since the meeting is at TSLA, come early and stay late, and bring your research plan! TSLA is open from 8:00am – 4:30pm that day. This will be the last MTGS meeting at the current TSLA building, but we hope to hold an MTGS meeting at the new Archives building soon after its opening, projected for late 2020.
